About Me
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and made the move as a child to Florida with my family, where I began writing from an early age. I grew up in Gainesville, Florida with my family, including my older sister and my younger brother. My childhood included a household full of avid readers and my father especially fostered a love for reading in all of his children. After high school I moved to Central Florida to study at the University of Central Florida, where I stumbled into a passion job as a rock-climbing instructor. In fact, if you want to find me, I’m probably at Blue Swan Boulders where I make routes and then teach people how to climb them. Either there or in my apartment downtown where I live with my boyfriend.
For now, my work focuses on trauma and grief. My first attempt at writing a cheerful poem went horribly wrong, but don’t worry because I’ll try again in a decade or two. I have also been published in several undergraduate literary magazines, like The Susquehanna Review, The Red Cedar Review, and The Cypress Dome, to which I am grateful for.
